i want to run a site off of my computer if possible, but i really want one whare what i do with it is totally free and i can edit what ever i want, load up stuff like phpbb and other things to it, is there anything like that for free out there? what about apache?

There are some softwares for downloading the complete website. But these softwares can download only the static pages (HTM) images and Applets used in the website. They cannot download the dynamic pages.
The best way to download a website will be by using FTP username and Password.
But if you know to script it back you can always use the static pages and configure them on any web server.

Open an free account in active.ws and redirect it to your local commputer IP address and do what ever you want to publish in your PC
