He should be put naked into a room measuring 2 metres square with no windows and a strobe light flashing at random intervals throughout the day. It should also have constant white noise playing with other distrubing sounds laid over the top. At random points during the day, (every day) someone dressed entirely in black should enter the room through a small door. On the other side of this door should be an obviously comfortable environment. This person in black should then drill through one of Barot's teeth and use the drill to put consistant pressure on his nerve. Alternativley he could use a blunt knife to remove some layers of skin and then pour water into the wound which has a high concentration of salt. Perhaps small pins could also be inserted into the eyes.
This should continue for as long as possible until Barot dies, in agony.

I think its a little strange that he got 40 years. Dont mis-understand me, i think he should have been flogged as well. But consider the fact, that he didnt actually kill anyone. He threatened to, As did hook handed hamza, who only got 7 years, he wanted his followers to kill. How many years should he have got? And then we have our murderers and racists who walk from prison after just a few years, or less sometimes. Barot got what he deserved, but id like to see all the other scum who get off lightly, given proper sentances. Lets have some real fair justice!!

A long and unhealthy life at Guantanamo Bay! I hear the food and facilities are wonderful!
Capital punishment is the easy way out for him, unless maybe he's placed in a bunker with a dirty bomb or drowned in a confined tunnel as he planned to do to London INNOCENT CIVILIANS!

In the UK we have a Justis system that gives the sentences
and what he will receive will be twenty years, out in ten or less,
in a soft prison after awhile. We don't have hard labour, breaking
rock on some bleak wind swept moors with bread and water
for there meals, mores the pity, and straw beds.A return to hard punishment is whats needed, something to fit the crime, that will
bring some of the hard criminals like bombers and terrorist
their just deserts.

He should be given Life without Parole and made to rot in prison for the rest of his life.
He should not be allowed any of the privileges given to other prisoners, that includes visits and,he should remain in solitary confinement under heavy security.
As there is no death penalty for this crime his life should be pure hell.
I think the News Broadcasters should not have given so much detail about his planned attacks because now some lunatic on a mission may think he had some good ideas and try to put them into practice.

His parents are Hindus who came here from India. He is a 2nd generation immigrant who converted to Islam from Hinduism.
Therefore I would send him over to India to be sentenced. I can imagine how "kindly" the Indian Government would take to a Hindu of Indian blood who had abandoned his heritage to covert to Islam, and then got involved in Al Quaida terrorism. I'm sure they could cook up a really nasty fate for him as they are less tolerant of dangerous and violent criminals than the useless British system is - I beleive they still have the death penalty.

There would be no point in the death penalty - he would relish the opportunity to be a martyr with all his stupid friends. He must stay in a high security prison for the rest of his days - isolated, lonely, without the comforts of normal life. I can't believe people can actually plan to do such an evil thing - it really pains me to think about how wicked some people can be. It's such a shame that he feels 'driven' to even contemplate these disgusting acts.
