If you are using it for office work or programming and if you need it to carry with you most times, laptop is good. But normally the use of desktop is to watch movies, play games or type some documents. These things can be done much easier with desktop. Also there is a lot prize difference.
Especially for games, laptopes are very cumbersome. Game can be played 200% times better on desktops.

Depends on what you want. Laptops are generally not as powerful as desktops nor can they be upgraded. Laptops end up becoming outdated and run down a lot sooner than desktops. But on the other hand desktops are limiting as to where you can use them and you can't take them when you travel. If you are a casual computer user a laptop will suffice, but you will have to shell out more money in the end replacing them. Desktop if you want a more powerful computer, and if you want to keep upgrading your computer to keep up with technology.

it all depends on the type of use you do. if mobility is important then buy a laptop or else i suggest desktop as they are more powerful. durable reliable and the most important is upgradeable.

my advice is only buy a laptop if mobility is important - laptops are more expensive - not as easy to upgrade ....
