if you have read the book, i was wondering if you could please answer this question.
Do you think phillips opinions about people are influenced by how his mother feels?

They are in the beginning, then he realizes that people are just people
no matter what they're origins or social status are. His mother seems a bit
snobbish but it may well be because she doesn't
like living on the island.
This was a good book but it is sad that Timothy dies at the end.
