i am having a problem with audio on my pc.i can hear sound if i play winamp or watch a movie but if i am chatting on yahoo or watching a clip online (eg: you tube ) or any thing on a website i am not able to hear any thing why is that plzzz help

Try this, I hope it works. Try checking the "sound, speech, and audio devices" on the control panel icon if your a Windows operator. You will see a small icon on the upper left of the dialogue box that reads, "advanced volume controls". Adjust some of the equalizers a bit because there are controls that mute sounds for some programs. Winamp has its own sound panel, Windows Media Player has one too, so tweak the controls a bit and see what happens. If nothing works, check the other icons there's bound to be something.

which internet browser u r using? Explorer / firefox: check browser plugins or upgrade ur browser.
For IE 6.0 & above : go to : tools-> internet options-> advanced -> settings -> Multimedia : select all check boxes.

go to control panle hit on ur sound icon then go in the sound settings make sure ur sound is enable & full up make sure ur sound conteol dont have any mute box ticked check in device manager to see if ur sound drivers are installed

i thing you have the older version of your internet explorer pls upgrade it.
