Technically you cant transfer tracks from an iPod to iTunes - the only way you can do this if you add it to your iPod as a 'data' file, then you can download to another pc and add it manually to your iTunes library.

You can plug your iPod into any copy of iTunes on any PC (pretty much) - but make sure you keep clicking NO on the pop ups - it will ask you if you want to register to that iTunes library or to replace contents of iPod with that library (or something similar) - if you say 'yes' it will delete EVERYTHING on the iPod and replace it with that version of iTunes. If you say NO, you can then copy stuff across, by old fashioned clicking and dragging files onto it.

Hope this helps.

Normally you can't transfer tracks from an iPod to iTunes, you can only do it the other way.

You can use an iPod on more than one computer, but it will take a copy of that computer's iTunes library and erase what is already on the 'Pod.

There is software available to copy music from iPod to PC, which you could then put into iTunes. I haven't tried it, so can't say if it's any good.
