go to your local library and look for books on furniture making. Sunset has one about making furniture from 2x4s. You can also buy books like this on Ebay from time to time but it might be smart to check them out at the library first to see if they're worth the money. If you're looking for plans for specific furniture, you can go to your local woodworking shop. They'll have plans there for a few different pieces of individual furniture. The cost is a little higher than a general book, but the plans are also much more extensive. You can also buy videos that show you how to make furniture. Some of the ones starring Norm Abram are good.
You can also search online for plans. Just type in "plans for making furniture". I got a whole list of options. Or go to the sites of some of the woodworking magazines. They'll probably have a few plans for free there.
