Why dont you write PRODUCT REVIEWS, this definately improves your writing abilities and you will be able to share your experience with others and others will comment on your reviews and you will also get points which you can turn into cash later on. It is not much money but this time pass is very interesting and very self improving.
I am a member there and it is quiet fun and very helpful

Take some online courses in the subject of your choice. Some schoools offer non-credit courses on hobbies for a very low price.

Join your local church. There are a lot of ministry needs available. Large churches usually have lots of community programs so you could be helping out your community in a positive way.
