Gunner2za, the second person to answer your question is talking shitt again. I'm an American citizen, and that is not anything remotely near what we think of SA.

*additional*

The question is neutral, it's your answer that is that of a numbskull.

I am proudly South African firstly and I love this place. I was studying overseas and met people from all over the world, not just America. Most of them who have been to SA said they loved it and would love to come back! The one guy i met from America is planning on moving to SA to live. Then you get the few who haven't heard of us and when you tell them that youre from SOUTH Africa, they say, "yeah, but what part?", or occasionally the ones that do actually believe that there are animals like just roaming the streets and stuff like that, lol! One thing I found out whilst meeting foreigners, is that they LOVE the South African accent! It even sorta attracts them to you;) Other people when hearing where you live say something like, "what? Isn't that like suicide??" Then there are the others who have never been to SA but say that they hear it is a beautiful place. The majority of comments though, gave me the impression that people like South Africa and very seldom was the response something in the negative.

I think it's great. It is unfortunate, however, to see a couple of arrogant people here, since it doesn't suit South Africans very well- all the ones I've met are friendly, polite, easy-going, and above all, humble. I love the "Bokke", so that's always a plus for me, besides the fact that the women are absolute knockouts!

I don't really know. This question should be aimed at Americans. But what do I know. I'm one of those deluded ANC apologist South Africans.

Why do you ask this in the South African catagory? It is like asking in the American catagory, what does Arabians think about America.

Ask the Americans that question! What do they think?

Because why.... some think we ride on elephants, some wants to adopt our black babies???? Now I ask you because maybe you are an American, what do Americans think of South AFrica?

Surely they think South Africa is where you'll find children like this;

and America is the only place you'll ever find children like these:
