Answer 1:
2(2x-4) = x + 4
4x - 8 = x + 4
4x = x + 4 + 8
4x = x + 12
4x - x = 12
3x = 12
x = 12/3
x = 4
Answer 2:
4(x+3) + 3 = 5 (x-4) + 5
4x + 12 + 3 = 5x - 20 + 5
4x + 15 = 5x - 15
4x = 5x - 15 - 15
4x = 5x - 30
4x - 5x = -30
-x = -30
x = 30 (The minus signs cancel each other out)
Answer 3:
x+2 = 4(5x -2)
x + 2 = 20x - 8
20x - 8 = x + 2
20x = x + 2 + 8
20x = x + 10
20x - x = 10
19x = 10
x = 10/19
Answer 4:
21 - 3x = 4x + 7
21 - 3x - 7 = 4x
21 - 7 = 4x + 3x
14 = 7x
7x = 14
x = 14/7
x = 2

lol, yeah, try doing it yourself, read your textbook, you'll never get anywhere with people doing it for you. Oh, just so ya know, juju's answer to the 2nd question is wrong. And that's probably because she got people to do her math for her and doesn't understand basic arithmetic. Trust me, it's a lot better to figure it out on your own or get your parents to help you. It's a lot better to fail a test or assignment in grade 6 or whatever you're in but actually try to learn something, then get someone to do it, learn nothing, then by grade 12 you fail math and can't get into college. Just trying to help you.

you're searching for the fee of "t" by technique of having it on my own on one part on the = signal. you commence with 8t=104 then you definitely divide both part by technique of 8 (because in Algebra, what you do to at least one part, you do to a distinct) Dividing by technique of 8 would make the equation appear like this: 8t/8=104/8 contained in the 8t/8 area, both 8's cancel one yet another out, so in basic terms the "t" is left. on the different part 104/8=13 so, you're left with t=13 desire this helps. -Miranda
