PHP phrase searches?

anyone know how to search a phrase using double quotes in php?
for example if i search for "mary the girl", it will show the sentence with 'mary the girl". I'm developing this code halfway but facing problems.

What do you want to search? A single file, a database, a collection of files, the Internet?
