I bought a big HUGE tub of Country Crock butter and accidnenlt dropped it a second ago. Well, the bottom of it cracked open and some butter is pooping out the bottom. i frefuse to throw the whole thing away since it is preactically brand new...but it is not going to hold the butter in on the bottom anymore. What can I put the butter in? Or should I try to patch the bottom of the tub somehow? Will my butter keep in a different container- is that a crazy question???

Yes, your butter will keep in a different container.

Put it into any other container (preferably one with lid). Glass or plastic is ok.

BTW - Tupperware is a brand name, and the chemical composition of their plastics is quite different from the cheap plastic butter tubs.

If it was a huge tub of butter, maybe an ice-cream bucket would do the job?
