Maruti is National car(read it as local car) where as Ford is a International make. Obviously Ford has many advantages when compared to Maruti.

Maruti = boring middle class design + fuel efficiency + inexpensive service (exception is the swift)
Ford = more flamboyance and style + driving pleasure + very expensive spares and maintenance.
