Sometimes I think we do . If there have been no talk about long-gevity in the relationship why do we have to expose soo much of ourselve, why do we have to prove how much of a good person we are if we dont know if it will last. Sometimes to much giving of ourselves makes for a long time to pick up our broken hearts and men and women are guilty of this . we alow ourselves to be used mentally and physically. Think about it

well, I think you can compromise too much..I think that there are those relationships around..but there are also relationships where we are pleased to compromise ourselves for the good of the relationship...I guess it's one of those choices of how much do I have to gain vs how much do I have to lose...I gain everything from my relationship so I will 'sacrifice' in other areas to make it work..No, this isn't probably the same for everyone...but I just get so much more back for giving so little...Am I rambling and confusing you yet?LOL

We need for it to feel that way. I compromise a lot, but I find the big things I care about the most I usually get. (but not always)

Healthy relationships are no compromise for those who wish to put in the time, energy and commitment. Please note I used the word HEALTHY.

well, this is kind of vague...hmmm... i think most people do, yes. i am a firm believer in NOT trying to change people. there are billions of people out there and most people will exhaust years (sometimes decades) of their life trying to make the person they are with into the person they really want to be with. don't get me wrong--i'm not saying there shouldn't be some give--but, most people take it to a nasty place.

I feel that I do. I for some reason I am always trying to make my boyfrend happy, and am worried about how he would feel when I express my feelings about certain things. he doesn't and the worst part is he doesn't realize I do this for him
