I was watching this t.v. show about some kid who gets his head decapitated. The head is instantly removed from the body. I morbidly wondered if he:
A) felt any pain?
2) realized what just happened before he died.? *) If he did realize his head was no longer attached to his body, did he have time to think about anything?
Anyone have anything else to add to this? Whaddayathink?

Hey... Csanda gave an excellent answer. I went to that web site and read the article. Wow. To answer your question... I don't think you really realize it.

Were you watching CSI:Miami? I saw that tonight also. I think the guy knew he was in some type of trouble but I don't think he really thought it would take his head off and all of that. Probably not enough time to do much thinking.

no im sorry you wont realize it, there is the hypothalamus on the back of the head, most of the time you "realize" when your entire body feels it..
