The Republicans will retain the Senate. The Democrats may or may not win the House. But, even if they do, they will never enjoy 'party line voting', because more than 30 of the dems expected to win, are not card carrying members of the Democratic Party. They ran as Democrats for convenience purposes only. That's the REAL surprise that nobody saw coming.

Or, Did you see that coming? Feel free to elaborate.

I'll type the question right under the question I already asked. Did you see that coming ? You can agree or disagree. Simple as that.

I agree about the Senate. There has been a clear shift to the Reps the last few days. I also think Lieberman will join the Rep caucus. House is also getting closer, but I still think that odds favor the Dems. I've only recently learned how many ex reps are running as Dems. I'm not sure what this means. I think we will be in for a very long night.

The real surprise is to our founding fathers...who would've never imagined that people would put party above country.

I know there are good ones out there, but I wish more of our politicians would just stand up for what is best for the country, not just what is best for the party trying to win the next election. If they do what's best for the country, winning an election would take care of itself because most Americans are smart enough to know who is truly working for them.
