I would call an advice nurse at one of the local facilities and check on the status of this. Kaiser has a 24 hour hotline you can call. So do several other cities in other states. Also, you can look in the yellow pages under physicians and find one of those hotlines. Take care of the baby... she might not be feeling soo well after not pooping for a while. Hope she is okay though.

If you are breastfeeding, read the following: If not, perhaps this might be helpful to other mothers with the same concern.
It is normal for the bowel movements of a breastfed to decrease in frequency when the colostrum, which has laxative properties, is completely gone from the mother's milk after about six weeks of age. A baby this age may continue to have bowel movements as frequently as five times a day, sometimes even after every nursing. It is also normal for a breastfed baby older than six weeks to have only one bowel movement every few days. Some healthy babies will have only one bowel movement a week. When bowel movements are less frequent, they should be more profuse in volume. As long as the baby is gaining well, wetting sufficiently, and is happy and content there is no cause to be alarmed by infrequent bowel movements, and it is not necessary to give the baby a laxative, fruit juice, or any other "helpers." In fact, attempting to force bowel movements can have harmful consequences to your baby.

She's probably okay, if it goes on a couple more days then you might take her to the Dr. Baby's just don't always poop every day, this would happen to my daughter. Here is a trick I tried that usually worked. I would lie her on her back and then I'd gently exercise her legs. I'd hold onto the ankles and gently straighten her legs, then push them so her knees would bend, I'd push them towards her chest, then straighten them then push them towards her chest. Try doing that several times, always be gentle, only go as far as her natural movement would allow, don't force her legs too straight or too bent. After I would do that I'd gently bicycle her legs several times. That gentle bit of exercise can be enough to stimulate her bowels to release, it almost always worked with my daughter.
P.S.- It's not good to give a 2 month old juice, so I don't recommend you do that, if she were older you could give her apple or a tiny bit of prune juice, but not at 2 months.

First of all, if you're really worried call the doctor. Always. Your ped is the most qualified person to help you.
Second, don't give her more than a couple of ounces of water a day because it can interfere with her nutrition intake.
Third, are you formula feeding or breast-feeding. Two days isn't that long for a formula fed baby, and if she isn't in any discomfort she's probably fine.
Check with your pediatrician first, because s/he knows your child better than people on Y!A, but you could give her an ounce of prune juice mixed with an ounce of water once a day. Also, if you are breast-feeding you might try adjusting your diet, and if you are formula-feeding try Nestle's Good Start. My son was constantly constipated, and had gastroesophogeal reflux of prematurity, and he did much better on this than the other brands. I don't mean to advertise, I'm just trying to help.

My daughter had that problem when she was a baby and the whole time she was on formula, we had to add a little bit of prune juice (recommended by the doc) to it. It may take a week to see about how much you need to add each time, but you'll get the hang of it. Please don't give your young baby water or apple juice (unless it's diluted) because it is not good for their systems.
But for now, if you are worried about your daughter, take her to the clinic or her pediatrician to have her looked at. Nothing should come in the way of your daughter's health and well-being. Good luck.

suppository...pick one up at a local pharmacy made for children. If that doesn't work then she may have impacted bowels. She'll need to be seen in the ER promptly. Use the suppository first if it doesn't work get to the ER immediately.
