i never break rules, like i never speed when i drive, i never do drugs, i dont swear, i am never mean to anyone, i always am good cos im scared of the consequences of being bad. but see im scared so it feels like im holding back. does being good pay off, i will remain the same but do you think life is too short to be sticking to the rules? i think of this as my partner is the opposite, he takes alot of risks and nothing bad ever happens to him

does being good pay off? yes it certainly does.
If you started breaking the rules, trust me, a few years or many years down the road you would have such regret, and you'd have a whole lot of what if? Trust your heart- your values and morals will guide you to where you need to be, but only when you listen to that little voice.

It seems like it is not a natural way of action but rather a forced one due to society's pressure upon you.
Following rules i.e. obeying the law, not speeding, are not necessarily good acts but rather acts that are mandatory so one cannot conclude that someone that obeys and performs these acts is a good person.
I think you are a bit troubled.
I would suggest you to be who you truley are and stop worrying too much about others and if the good will eventually pay off.
If you are geniunely a good person it will come naturally and good things will come your way sooner or later just because "what comes around goes around".

It sounds like you are measuring "good" by societal standards... unfortunately no, there is no benefit to that. If you were to measure "good" by spiritual standards then you would see that speeding isn't necessarily a bad thing. Its simply a means of making money for the local governments. And equally so, you need to be "mean" to some people. Not mean so much but direct and blunt at times. But I would guess if honesty hurt their feelings you would consider yourself mean. Check your measuring stick, hun. It may be about time to trade it in.

WOW Nikki, do we have people like you still living on Earth, i thought God stopped making humans like you.
You being good definitely pay off, you remember Newton's law every action has equal and opposite reaction.
When you do a good thing it is just kicking a foot ball and it has to come back to you, may be it takes time but will definitely come back to you.

it seems that what worries you is that you are somehow missing out by being good. Being good does not mean being boring, uptight, or a loser. You probably tease your friends by being "mean" and have fun at it sometimes. Remember that what is missing nowadays is more moral people.
