they are all important!
drums - keep the beat and hold the rest of the music together
bass - helps the guitars have well . . . a bass to hold onto
guitar - brings it all together and gives it a brighter sound
lead and back up vocals - are the cherry on top
any other instrument (piano violin cello ect) - make it unique

I play a lot of instruments but after thinking,I would pick the guitar. (guitar pick!)I love the drums by nature, but it doesn't have the versatility of emotions that a guitar could have. And you can play it anywhere! Can you imagine that this is a toughy question!?

guitars- all kind of guitars be it acousitic, semi acoustic, electric ,bass- anything and everything- guitar is the soul of a rock band's music- the best way of putting one's emotions forth- something like a magician's wand
