I think sainsburys gesture of giving vouchers to those who were robbed of there money in the FAREPAK racket. My ??s are that do you think that they should get there full value. And would you think that all large Supermarkets should join in it would a drop in the Ocean to them they throw out £££££s in foodstuffs each week come on give these people and kids a MERRY XMAS Supermarkets. And from me to you all out there ,when it comes A MERRY XMAS from Terrano.

that is a very good idea, it would show a lot of goodwill from the major supermarkets, any publicity would do them good, and there would be a lot of happy families, whose happy christmas could be saved by this act of kindness. merry christmas to you aswell, and to everyone else.

You can please some of the people some of the time it appears no matter what a company does there will always be some who do not think they have gone far enough, for the record as a ex Sainsbury`s employee I do happen to know that they do help quite a few charities out so it isn`t all doom & gloom.
Merry & Seasonal Greetings to those of you who have done much to make some peoples lives a little easier this year.

It's the gesture that counts, no matter Sainsbury's intention, they are still going to help ensure that some families have a good Christmas.

It makes for good public relations. I can't really understand the hamper thing - you don't get interest on your money, so what's the point? And when they go bust (which they do, and often), it's another tax on the stupid. All the big supermarkets should pitch in, it's nothing to them.

Asda already does a scheme like this to help the needy, but you are right it's just a drop in the ocean to them. Merry christmas form the u.k x

it could be seen as a advertising opportunity , but at least they are doing something to help ..and giving a little back ...lets hope some of the other supermarket chains that make such big profits from us all decide to follow suit .....
