Absolutely. Why waste innocent tax payers money on keeping them in prison. Filth is filth, erase it

Depends on the child and the reason for the hurt. Was the cause of the pain intentional? Did this person go out searching for a child to hurt, or was it inadvertant? Was the child in the wrong place at the wrong time, or did the child do something to warrant the pain and suffering inflicted?
A scenario: A few kids 10-14 years old decide to play a prank on a local old man, so they grab his little 10 year-old Beagle and stuff a firecracker up the dog's but and light it. The dog is injured and has been the old man's best friend for the past 10 years, so he charges out the door and grabs one of the kids he catches and in the process breaks his arm when the kid tries to wrench loose. Should the old man be jailed?

no, I am not for child abusers, but you can't just hang everyone, would a person be hung for smacking their child? what about the mums who really have post natal depression and they hurt their child? I think we need to draw the line somewhere. Now, if you ask me about paedophiles and stuff like that, then hanging is good but maybe too quick for the offenders, I think they should be dropped on an island somewhere, naked, no food and made to suffer a long, cold, starving death with plenty of time to think about the damage they cause to the kids

They shouldn't be killed (or if they are, it should be very slow and very, very painful) because when they're dead, that's it. Everything's over for them, but the victim/victim's family still suffers.

I don't agree with child murderers/rapists being kept seperately in prison for their own safety - they don't deserve protecting. So what if other prisoners make their lives worse than hell? It's no worse than what they did to the kid they hurt.

People who hurt children are the lowest of the low and deserve anything they get, in my opinion. Maybe I only think like this because two of my closest friends were horribly abused when they were younger, though.

People do things for a reason. It can be for a very deep genetic reason or some other less than glorifying reason, but we all do what we do for reasons that are sometimes explicable, understandable but sometimes inexcusable. We are also able to do the worst things that humans can do. Jesus said, "do unto others as you would have them to do unto you." It could not be more clear.
We humans are capable of a lot of things, and we all need love and understanding to deal with reality.

hurt encompasses alot of different things ..

i do beleive there is a case for child abusers to be either exterminated or shipped to some island away from existance to live out the rest of their days .i dont think jail will change there sexual preference ,,, i just think it will make them worse so putting them away for a short term wont help

No, I think angry mothers should be able to torture the person doing the abuse for life. I think that would be theraputic for the Moms (and Dads) and it would deture anyone that had an ounce of sense not to hurt children.

Not hung, but a long prison sentence. Personally, I don't really believe in the death penalty

when the state sanctions murder, then we are in dodgy moral grounds. we need to take a higher stand, and make prison sentences stricter, for example life should mean life...
