The advantage is that we have nothing to lose. A rich person can lose their good things and miss them terribly and us being poor and all can look at them and not understand the grief. We spend more time with our loved ones. My children were brought up by me not a nanny.

There are many advantages! Like, not spending so much time shopping! Not being afraid of losing all you have in a fire. Lower insurance premiums. Forced into eating more healthily. Not tied to a economic system of capitalism. More time for the important things in life such as family, study, and self-development. Learn the value of recycling. Learn the value of sharing. And you learn to appreciate EVERYTHING you have been blessed with. It works for me.

There are obvious advantages and disadvantages. But since you're asking about the advantages, here goes:

- No worries about all sort of liabilities - house, car, country clubs, etc
- No worries about peer pressure and competition - who drives the fastest car, who has the biggest pool
- No worries about health because you don't often get to eat cholesterol-laden food like red meat, giant Alaskan crabs, fois gras, etc
- No worries about having pretentious friends who only hangs around you because you have money
- No worries about dying because you've nothing to cling on to.
- Basically you don't have any worries at all, provided you have the minimum: food, clothes, shelter and loved ones.

The only advantage I have witnessed is the fact that the family stays home more with each other but then they all seem to fight all the time so that turns into a disadvantage.

There is no advantage, the only advantage is that you "learn to be poor". Who in the hell what to learn that?

If you are a 'happy' poor person then I think you have this game of life figured out

It's not a matter of money but how you deal with it. Accept the fact and love your family and friends. Don't be aggressive just because you have no money.
