It is quite unusual..but i think it doesn't matter how old you are to be working as a manager if you really deserve it.For me, if you have a good qualification,then you deserve for the job.

Yeah, it is unusual for a 17 year old to be the office manager...is it a small company? Your parents own it? Or worse, are you being set up to take the fall for someone who is about to rob the place and pin it on you because you might be young and naive? Be careful.

That is unusual, and never seen a under 18 worker as a manager. In a fast food joint maybe not unusual. Sounds like the owner likes you, and wants you to experience to be a manager and give you skill as one too. That is a nice boss.
