Ok first off, being a pedophile has nothing to do with being gay.

I honestly can't answer this question... I don't know why they choose to defy themself. My only answer, being an ex-Republican, is that they choose to deny themselves for other reasons of their party.

Republicans are republicans because they believe in following "traditions." Which is a man and woman lifestyle, not a homosexual one.

I definately don't agree with the tradition stuff because it's like, people are locked up in a closet and don't want to see how much the world has changed and can't change their own attitude. It's pathetic. What harm does 2 men or 2 women having sex, or getting married, or whatever, have on them? Literally nothing. They just can't simply expand their minds adn decide things for themselves, but instead, want to say gayness is bad b/c the bible is against it. Yea... that was like 2000 years ago when I'm sure a man would never think of touching another man.

This is one ( of the few) thing about my preferred party that really upsets me. I am a straight Christian but I do not believe that just because we are the majority (or that our founding fathers were Christians) that we have the right to create laws that infringe on others' rights.

I believe that gay acts are wrong but it is not our place to judge. These acts do not infringe on anybody's rights. Only God reserves that right to judge us in the end. So many supposed Christians are going to be very surprised when they are thrown into the firey lake for being so hateful.

Pedophiles are different, they are infringing on children's rights, so that is very wrong and should always remain against the law.

This is why we need a new party!

To your question about Jesus. I believe that he was married to Mary Magdalene (I know it's against what most Christians believe) but the Bible does not make reference to it because it was not important (why would it be, women were far less important then). The most important thing about Jesus is that of love and acceptance of everybody.

I guess us republicans view homosexuality as a sin. If you let homosexuals marry, next pedophiles will want rights. The bible says it is an abomination and we view it as an unnatural sex act. Personally I don't care what gay people do in the privacy of their own homes. I just don't want them flaunting their lifestyle and demanding the same rights as men and women who are married.

I know this is not a popular view and I do feel compassion for those gays who so desperately want marriage and acceptance. They may have to settle for acceptance.

We all have sin in our lives, we just don't all want special treatment to justify our actions.
