I'm 7 months pregnant and I'm having hard time staying asleep at night. I know that's normal but my question is does anyone know of anything I can do to ease my mind and stay asleep (or get back to sleep after having to get up and use the bathroom...since that occurs a lot). I do have a lot on my mind and a lot of stress right now (not pregnancy related) and I can't seem to stop thinking once I wake up at night...any reasonable suggestions welcome. Thanks in advance.

If none of the "natural' ways to fall asleep are helping-- you can always as a last resort take a tylenol pm. they are 'safe' to take during pregnancy as they are only tylenol and benadryl. Try not to stress out- your baby can sense it.. and you don't want a clngy fussy baby when they are born! Also when you get up at night- try to not turn any lights on and go right back to bed.. turn some music on to distract... what always works best for myself is to write. Lay in bed and write about whats on your mind... just let it all out and it should help you feel better and a lot less stressed! good luck.

Try not to watch television before going to bed. Instead, start a good book and read a couple of chapters per night. It will probably make you sleepy and occupy your mind with other things.
I know for a fact that sleeping on a magnetic matress and pillow allows you to go into a deep sleep (called delta sleep), even after coming back to bed from the bathroom. It is also very heathy. I have been sleeping on one for 7 years and have not had one cold. A Japaneese company out of Irvine, Ca. has them.

A guy named Thai Ngoc has long gone for 30 years with out sleep, so I haven't any notion in which 'K' acquired their data from. Having stated that, Insomnia would possibly not kill you, however you're going to ultimately go to sleep while you emerge as exhausted. Seek clinical recommendation.

been there, and rest is sooo important to you and your baby. i tried reading and that usually after a while made me tired, drink warm herbal tea or warm milk, work on puzzle to calm yourself, work on a projext fr the baby ( sewing or knitting something) if you cant get your sleep at night try a few naps during the day (if you can).
if its not working talk to your dr.
