Sweety... I don't know where you're getting your "facts", but virtually every medical, psychological and sociological authority states the complete opposite. Personally, I tend to believe experts as opposed to ranting Y!A bigots.

Like everyone else has said- proven fact? Show me the proof!
From what I know on the subject, there is no real determinate evidence either way, hence the controversy. I don't believe sexuality is genetic, nor a choice, but I am of course open to changing my mind in the face of evidence.
And, if the argument is that people are not born gay, that it is a choice, then heterosexuality is one as well. So the question becomes, "Why do you choose to be straight?"

Where did you hear that "it's a proven fact that people are not born gay?" If you heard it from your pastor, then you need to start questioning authority. As a Christian person, I'm embarrassed by how many of us blindly accept what we are told and how those same dear lambs immediately reject that which makes us uncomfortable. Remember what they say about Jesus: He came to comfort the afflicted and to afflict the comfortable. Think about it.
PS: If you really weren't born gay, why, in this homophobic, abusive environment, would you actually choose that way of life?

Actually, it's been proven that a human being's personality--the way they react to the world--IS at least partially determined by genetics. Plus, the most formative years of a personality are between birth and five years of age. So your implication that a 30 year old suddenly decides to be homosexual (gay means happy. Always use proper terminlogy) is based on fallacious information. Furthermore, most homosexuals that I have known have had an abusive (physically, sexually or mentally) parent of the opposite sex. Some people react to that by becoming abusers themselves, some avoid relationships altogether, some actively become the opposite of the abuser and are wonderful spouses and parents, and some, I truly believe, avoid dealing with it unconciously by being homosexual. But human behavior isn't that simple, and there are as many reasons for why people do the things they do as there are people.
It is also my firm belief that, as long as no one is harmed, what goes on behind other people's closed doors is their own business and no one else's.

Hey! You jumped a line of steps between your starting point and your conclusion. People aren't born gay. They become gay, through their life experience. They don't choose it, either. Claiming they choose it, implies that also straight people choose being straight. If they can say I'll be gay, we could say it too. And I know I couldn't be gay.
AND, besides, even if they did choose it, why not? What's the problem with that?

When you PROVE A FACT you usually have something to stand on other than air. Where is your site, your medical information, a reference to your study? You have included none of these in your question. WHY?
What you have proven about yourself - - well I think we all know....

Actually, it is a proven fact that gays are born that way. The only choice involved is to either stay in a closet to avoid small minded bigots or not.

You're saying it's a proven fact. Why don't you back it up with some evidence? What's your source?
As a gay man, I can tell you it's NOT a choice.

Check your sources. A gay is by birth not by choice that way. It is a soul secret. The secrets of soul or spirit is not completely discovered.

The bible says that we are all born with a " Sin nature" meaning it in our nature to sin. We were polluted at the fall of man, and are predisposed to sinning. why else would people choose to commit murder, become drunkards and drug addicts and commit adultery when it will obviously ruin our lives.
