Why does my male cat Max walk around with the tip of his tongue out? He is so cool, and I can pet him and grab at it and he pulls it back in but before long it's back out there, it makes him look hilarious!

cats smell with their mouths open that might be what he is doing or he might be tasting the air.

its not really a problem, just part of his charactor, as long as he eats and drinks well, and uses his liter box
some of my cats, and dogs do this, i only had one dog that it was caused from a medical condition. a liver shunt, and that is another story
