There are different formulas of midol, some contain tylenol and Midol IB contains ibuprofen. In addition to a pain reliever there is another derivative in it that can have a diuretic effect to prevent swelling and bloating. I find that plain Ibuprofen 600mg every six hours does the trick. You can combine tylenol and ibuprofen together for a better effect. You want to be careful if you do take midol that you aren't taking tylenol and ibuprofen with it. Alleve is in the same family as ibuprofen, but last longer and you take it less frequently. It works well too. Make sure you have food in your stomach though.

Hands down- Ibuprofen!!!! I was put on the pill at the age of 14 because my period cramps were horrible. I couldn't even get out of bed!! I remember crying a lot because of the pain. We tried so many over the counter menstural pills! Nothing worked so my doctor put me on the pill. My mom wasn't comfortable with putting hormones in her 14 year old kid so she took me to another MD who gave me 800 mg Ibuprofen. I have been pain free ever since and I am now 32. You have to drink a lot of water though because Ibuprofen can mess with your kidneys but I have never found anything else that works so well. Hope you feel better!

The most effective will probably be Advil, the generic name for which is ibuprofen. It is an antiinflammatory and that's what produces the pain, an inflammatory process. Try it. You can take up to 600mg, 3 tablets every 6 hours for severe pain, unless your doctor tells you otherwise.

They are uncommon while you can not be hooked to a twine. three) Although I crave loopy meals repeatedly even as having my interval, I have located that the lighter you'll consume the fewer extreme your cramps could also be. the day earlier than you get your interval, begin consuming terrific mild--greens and fruit best...perhaps a tad little bit of protein (a litle little bit of grilled or roasted chook, peanut butter, nuts...even slightly cheese to aid fill you up), however attempt to consume as mild as viable. four) stretch...check out slightly yoga. I uncover while I have worst cramps, if I can rise up and lean again slightly, stretching palms up top, it will aid slightly. five) if you're nonetheless in huge affliction after this, pass in your document. You could also be helped by way of being placed on delivery manipulate capsules... there may be even seasonel wherein you best have your interval four occasions in keeping with year. (I do that).
