no, there is no negotiation w/ the govt.,you have to fight tooth and nail. and it helps if your neighbors help you too. there is a story of eminent domain in the reader's digest, look it up maybe it can help you

If they exercise eminent domain there is no negotiations...
Typically they will try to negotiate before exercising eminent domain.

For two reasons...1) Maybe they can get a better price...2) Exercising eminent domain creates bad publicity.

Now you are required to take what they offer; but you can sue to claim that it was not "just compensation" and try to get more but that's pretty dicey.

Eminent domain is a valid exercise of the government and the price tendered is always within the lawful price.
