Losing your virginity will not alter your period if you have already begun your cycle prior to the occasion. It should come at the normal time. If you are feeling anxious or stressed about the incident, then that might make your period come late. So the only reason to worry is if you did not use protection.
The best protection is a wedding ring. Next to that, a condom. Be safe! ;)

Well sweetie, I would stop having sex at a young age first off! I am going to answer all points because I don't know if you have already started menstruating or not etc. So first off if you haven't started your menstrual period before sex then it should not make you start your period. If you have had a period before having sex and it doesn't come within the 28 days from your last period I would take a pregnancy test. When you loose your virginity there is often a little bleeding after wards, so if that is what you are worried about it is normal to bleed after the first time you have sex. I wish you the best of luck and please please stop having sex....is that two minutes of pleasure worth giving your life up at such a young age to take care of a kid? Men, excuse me "Boys" only will see you for a slut...men are stupid and I am not saying you are, but trust me you will be perceived as easy and sweetie you don't want that!

Honey, losing your virginity won't affect your period unless you have become pregnant. If you were already having periods prior to having sex, your next one should come around normally, (though you may have some light bleeding or "spotting" in the mean time due to the breaking of your hymen) and if you hadn't begun menstruating then having sex won't delay or speed up the arrival of your first period.
If you were already having periods, have lost your virginity and are worried because your period hasn't come, do the smart thing for yourself and take a home pregnancy test. Take care of yourself sweetie!

About 10 months for me! LOL. I got preggy my first time. Go hubby!
But seriously, virginity has nothing to do with your period. If you lose your virginity while still a child, that doesn't mean your period will start. Someone might need to go to jail, but losing it doesn't effect bleeding. Your body will hit puberty when it ready. There is no way to force puberty to start. If you are already in puberty and lost your virginity, then it still depends on your body. Alot of teens have irregular periods and might only bleed every 45 days or 60 days. If they are painful and very irregular, speak to your Mom about putting you on birth control to regulate your periods.

Looks to me you've been given some very good advice from women who know what they are talking about. Speaking from a man's viewpoint, if you have given up your virginity to some guy other than your husband, than I feel sorry for you and your future husband because you have given away a very special once in a life time birthright event. And not everyone believes: "Oh well." Now having said that, please insist on your future partners to wear condoms and you get some protection too before you become a mother whether you are ready or not.

It should come as normal. If not, take a pregnancy test. It's possible that the stress of worrying about pregnancy will cause your period to be late but, definitely take a test. Also, get another form of contraception to use in addition to condoms so, that you don't have to worry so much. Talk to your doctor or at least read planned parenthoods website and information about sex. Geez.

you can still get your period before lossing your virginity, or if you didn't use protection you might be pregnant, if you havn't had a period before this you just havn't started your period yet.
If you did start your period before losssing you virginity , and it hasn't come after a 4 weeks, well I would be going to the doc for a blood test.

Ew, honey. If you need to ask these questions, you should not be having sex.
-If you have already had your period for a year or so, it should just be 28 days after the start of your last one.
-If you have not yet had your period, having sex will not cause you to have it.
-If you just started having your period (within a couple months) of having sex, your body may not be in sync yet.
---If you think you are pregnant, go to Planned Parenthood---
(you should probably go anyhow and talk to someone..I'm not trying to preach, I had a kid at a young age and don't want it to happen to anyone else)

Having sex doesn't alter the menstrual cycle.
Do you mean if a virgin -- who has never had a menstrual flow ?
Or, do you mean a virgin who has periods but then loses her virginity?
Regardless, the answer is the same. I can only pray that some poor girl hasn't lost her virginity before her first menstrual flow...
