hey I thinking I'd like to present a wpa-cracking session for a school presentation, possibly even bringing an actual demo...I've done some research on the subject and am aware that the mode of operation is to bruteforce the EAPOL packets. now also looking into tools like aircrack/snort and wpa cracker...any more information will be appreciated!!!

What you need is Aircrack. But you'll have to run the Linux version of it, because under Windows there is no tool for capturing the relevant packets.

Alternatively, you could use KisMAC - but that one is available for Macs only.

See below for a few relevant links.

This wouldn't be a bad presentation. I think you got most of it understood. However you will need to understand what makes WPA weak in the frist place with PSK. I would head over to a hacker site (real one not those fake wana be ones) and ask for help there. I have never studied the WPA protocol or I would help you. http://www.alstalavista.com might have some tutorials on it.
