I've been working a lot and I just didn't seem to be able to do anything else, and I don't have many friends, how can I meet some nice people and make friends, I don't drink, (don't go to bars) and I guess I've been isolated and I'm not so easy to talk to, I don't know what to say, & get nervous, any suggestions?

I know how you feel. I am the exact same as you I don't drink or party so it's hard. I don't really know what to tell you but I thought I would let you know you are not alone.

Join a gym, join a church, take a class, volunteer, join a group, if you live in an apartment complex, start talking to your neighbors, hang out at a book store and read books and magazines (at the worst case, you can enjoy what you are reading). It is difficult. I've been there myself. There are two important things: stay positive and keep trying. Don't expect it to happen overnight. The funny thing is is that when it does finally happen, it will seem like it happened 'overnight'. Try to think about what you like to do and start doing it. Hope this helps :)

be urself. It may be intimadating to meet new people, and open up ur views cos you may be afraid of being laughed at , but dont be ...start with the person next to you, why even your work colleague, since you spend so much time at work. Who knows ur working buddy may have common interests to you apart from work alone u know.

Hang out with the friends you do have and try to get them to bring along other friends of theirs who you don't know yet. It will make for an easy transition into new relationships.

find out what social events are going on around town like or maybe try going to a show like a theater show or maybe go to the library iam not sure but i do know what ever you do just be your self and you will find that you are very easy to talk to

You need to have more confidence in yourself to aproch people. Broaden your horrizens. You don't have to drink to go to bars. Just be yourself and someone will love you.

just be yourself.......don't worry 'bout what people think........jsut start with....a little excuse to talk to someone......=0) don't get nervous because then thet are going to think that your easy or to be punking on....so just watch out.....and don't be nervous......good luck......
