at the company I work at you have to stay at your desk and on the phone 95% of the time you are here, so I can't get up and walk around whenever I want to or I will get points assessed to my attandence and could get fired, so I am stuck at my desk, now any suggest???!!

groom -paint your finger nails or tweeze your eyebrows. when someone calls for a reservation strike up a chat with them, make the job more interesting or quit

LOOK for something to do. Believe it or not you ARE being watched and how you spend your "down time" is being assessed. See if there is any filing to do. Any mail that needs to be processed and sent out. If you don't know how to do it ASK someone to show you. Find out if there is anything supervisors or managers need to have copied or faxed. The more you learn and the more you do within your company makes you more and more indespensable and will look good come raise time...as well as being job security, because if there is an opening somewhere where you have a bit of expierence in the company is more likely t hire you than go "outside" . Most employers prefer to hire/promote "in house"

Why not just quit your job if you are not enjoying. Try to find a job that you really like . Sometimes, the pay is not important, what is important is you enjoy your work.

i know what you mean... i used to do cust serv. too... but i was never alone.. man that must be tough...i think just stay here and answer questions or even rate the answers...srry im no good at this...
