Definitely the Green Mile, but he also wrote Stand By Me and Shawshank Redemption - not scary or mystical but awesome in their own right.

I enjoyed 'The Stand' very much, it's a very long movie though like 6hrs or more. I used to rent the movies from time to time, then ended up buying the dvd. It's not something you'd want to watch every day but only cause it's so damn long. I also really enjoyed 'The Green Mile' and as they are both my favourites of Stephen king I bought both DVD's and read the books as well.

The best? Green Mile, Stand by Me, Shawshank Redemption.

The worst? The original Shining. I can't believe Stephen King pu his name on that, it was nothing like the book.

As far as horror movies, the original version of "The Dead Zone" was about the best. Needful Things and Misery were good too.

The Shawshank Redemption is the best non-horror one.

The Shining. The original one. Stanley Kubrick directing a movie starring Jack Nicholson was a hard act to follow.
