One story I have to tell is this: I once accidentally ran into my local sex offender registry online, so I thought I'd look at it. I was shocked to see how many sex offenders are in my town, so I started to look up other towns and cities. I was even more shocked to see how many there must be in my state, alone.

Another thing to keep in mind is that Dateline (the NBC show) just goes to some town and sets up a sting to get online predators, and they just keep coming. Not long ago, a news program showed a computer engineer who did a similar type of thing in order to find out how many are out there.

They go to places like My Space and Facebook, and they aren't just looking for young kids. They also target college girls.

There seems to also be something about their mentality that drives them to take the chance and go to some "sting" house (where the police could be waiting) rather than be sharp enough to realize they may be walking into a trap.

They also come from all walks of life.

You could include something about the Dateline: To Catch a Prdator series.
If youve never heard of it its basically a sting operation that Dateline did about online predators. You can probably find some video clips on youtube or even yahoo.
