like i won this national honor roll thing and im filling out this survey so WHAT DOES IT MEAN? thanks

hey, i think it means not to include any prizes or awards you got from any time before grade 8.

basically, it's saying that anything grade 7 and below (inclusive) is irrelevant. pretend they never happened :)

Grade 8 comes between grades 7 and 9, whatever you did before grade 8, they don't wanna know about it. I think by "activities" they are referring to your excellence in scholastic ventures, so making out with someone in the back of a schoolbus or punching someone in study hall and getting detention isn't what they want you to list.

Usually you will see exclusions such as these for the simple fact that many times awards that are given out in the early education years are more subjective than those you will see as "standardized" from the later years of high school and college. When comparing awards in Elementary/Junior High years to those in High school, the obvious prestige goes to those in the high school category.

Anything before the 8th grade. That would mean K,!,2,3,4,5,6,7th grades.

it means just that dont list anything before 8th grade

whatever awards you earned in 8th grade and before, don't include them in your list..
