I assume you mean does opening a new store affect the number of customers who come into nearby Starbucks stores and buy drinks.

The only people who can definately answer that question are Starbucks. Every time their CEO does anything public he is asked what affect all these new stores has on business at existing stores. They keep saying that there is absolutely no impact. The new stores are busy and there is no reduction in customers coming into existing stores. I heard an interview recently where the CEO said that they had done studies and found that some customers would not even cross the street to buy a coffee. If there was a shop on their side of the street they would come in, otherwise they would not. Therefore they think there is still plenty of opportunities for them to build new stores without affecting business at existing stores.

If you want to find more information go look at the Investor Relations section of the Starbucks website. They wont release sales figures but you should be able to find more details.
