I watched the movie a long time ago, and can't recall the name. Please be sure to answer if you have seen the movie.
Two men killed a woman for the sake of committing the perfect murder, when the crime is exposed, the pair of them promised to commit suicide at the same time, however, one of the men didn't load gun at the last minute, he planned to blame it on his partner who had a loaded gun.
Additional details include a female detective was saved by one of the criminals from falling off a cliff of some sort.
The details are vague at best, I really really really want to re-watch the movie, please do help me if you have an answer, thank you very much.

I KNOW THE MOVIE BUT NOT THE NAME=>The movie is about two teenage kids that thouhgt they were smarter than everyone else adn the girl they killed was one of the guys crushes or girlfriend.
