I often wonder why the Dem's dont produce a good platform of their own, instead of being purely anti-republican. If they actually focused on positives that they would bring to the nation, I think they'd get more support

We could start by voting to bring back the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights that have been removed by the Bush Administration. Then we could advocate that the US not use torture on prisoners in violation of international law signed by the US before Bush. We could not support calling the opposition traitors for not supporting govt. policy. We could examine our motives for reducing one of the most sacred places in Islam, Iraq, to rubble while the Arab world watches 600,000 of their own die as a result, all based on lies to the American people.
We could bring and end to the big lie.

Let's try this: the republican platform:
* ban flag burning
* ban gay marriage
* ban stem cell research
Ok, I don't love the first two either, but in my opinion, they don't hurt anybody (Iraq - *cough*)
And the third is just stupid - you can HELP people for christ's sake...what's wrong with that?
