somebody's name kept popping up in your thoughts? My ex has been popping into my thoughts? I've been told that if you keep thinking of some1 is because they're thinking of u. Is it true?

Yes I believe it to be true, much like when you think of someone and the phone rings and it is them. Or you feel compelled to ring someone only to find out that they were just thinking of you too.
It is to do with our connection we have with each other. We are all connected on some level and in some way.

could be as there are times when people whom I haven't thought about pop into my thoughts and wonder how they are doing or whatever happened to them. I had a childhood friend who wanted to become a priest and wondered if he ever did.

Thinking of your ex probably means you miss them and has nothing to do with what they're thinking. I think of my ex, I think of all my ex's. I told my best friend if I die to make sure he individually tells all my ex's that, on my deathbed, I told him that I loved them the most.

in India they say if you sneeze it means someone is thinking about you...
but Ive never heard that if someones name keeps coming to you it means they're thinking of you... i agree with the person who said sounds like you have unresolved issues with the person

I think of my ex as well, but it's because I'm still in love with them, not because they are thinking of you, though I suppose that would be very nice, but it's rather wishful thinking.

I don't think so.. Someone told me that he's been thinking about me for the past few weeks but I haven't think think of him even for once. And I've thought of someone also, but seems that he never think a bit about me.
So, I don't think thinking someone will make him/her think of you too.
