I am currently a high school senior and am interested in attending a college or university in the UK, however, I am not well off financially and would need a lot of financial aid. Do schools abroad offer a lot of financial aid for international students?

I am a very good student academically, I am eligible for a lot of scholarships here in the U.S, as I am a National Merit Semifinalist. I would also like to know if awards such as this are recognized abroad.

I am interested in studing the sciences, possible biology with connections to medicine, perhaps going into the research field.

Any help will be appreciated.

The first thing you should do is contact the British Council in your area or go to this page http://www.britishcouncil.org/usa-education-funding-your-studies.htm?mtklink=funding-your-studies
If you need more financial aid and scholarships resources, go to this page http://www.macquil.com/scholarships.php
