it doesnt really work that great...
Toothpaste or hemorrhoid creams sometimes work well on a pimple...May help dry out a pimple or make it less visible, certain ingredients in these products can irritate broken-out skin. Save face by sticking to the stuff designed for blemishes...like real acne cream meds.
Buttt if u still want to try the toothpaste method..use the white kind (the gel kind doesnt work) toothpaste...just make sure u dont leave it on for more then 1 to 3 hours....ive heard of a couple of people getting burned from leaving it over night or having extremely dry skin afterwards...
From personal experience Try an acne fighting face gel/cream by the company zapzyt...it has 10% benezol peroxide and it rapidly gets rid of unwanted pimples...also its inexpensive as well and is readily found in most stores...

Actually I have used toothpaste to try and clear up my skin. For small amounts of achene/pimples. The type that worked for me is any kind of really strong mint toothpaste.Clean your face then put on just a thin layer and rub into your skin as if it was lotion. Then just go to bed and wash it off with water in the morning.

ooh yeah. i've tried it before.
it ain't the miracle it's told to be, but sometimes it really works and sometimes it doesn't help at all. whitening paste seems to work the best.. but maybe just paste will do. (the only other kind i have at my house is gel) if you get your face slightly damp before you put the toothpaste on your breakout or whatever, it seems to work better.
when it DOES work, it makes the pimple less red, and makes it smaller.
obviously, some good ol' acne cream works better than toothpaste though.

I've tried using regular white toothpaste, but it didn't work at all, not if i left it in for a few hours and not if i left it on all night. some say it does work on certain skin types, i guess you'll never know if you don't try, but keep your expectations low.

I heard it does but you are suppose to use the paste not the gel.
Something in the paste works on pimples. Also I heard to use honey that will help..

toothpaste works only on pimples. if toothpasts start clearing your skin then people may not use it for teeth but they will use it as skin cearm

ok i heard that it works but not for everyone. everyone has different skin types. depending on the severity of your pimples or acne, speak to your GP for some advice.

I sometimes put toothpastes on my zits. It doesn't clear them up, but it dries them out so I don't have that nasty white puss.
