It is like it says ,printer you print, copyer you copy like using copy machine, scanner you scan a document or a picture and save it on a CD or on the computer.
by the way there is nothing called dumb question. that's how we learn.

The printer part of you unit, prints what you want printed on your screen IE. a letter you just typed to sent to someone. The copier function copies papers that you need copies but the original document was not placed in the computer. You put your document under the top of the printer & hit print. A scanner will let you scan a document from the printer to the computer. Hope this helps. I love my 3 in 1 printer.

Well a printer prints things like pictures off the computer or documents and things like that. A Copier is something that helps you copy the same paper or picture as many time as you want and a scanner actually scans things into the computer. I can't really explain it any better than that. I hope I helped.

a printer you can use to print out documents, pix or anything from your computer, the copier is to make copies of anything. you would just have to click on the correct button before using any of these 3. the scanner you can scan stuff , so you can upload it to the computer. you would have to open the file if it doesn't automatically come out when your scanning. just keep the paper inside right so it won't move or your copy in the comp will look all crooked. i can also tell you about the fax machine, but it doesn't have it. i have all these in my home computer. hope this helps.

OK, I'll be nice, and you promise you'll ask question in a comprehensible way in the future, deal?
A printer prints documents you create or otherwise bring to your computer - in other words, duplicate your digital file into a paper one.
A copier, like any other, will create a paper copy of a paper document you run through it.
A scanner will take a digital picture, in a way, of a document you run through it - in other words, duplicate your paper into a diital document.
Good enough? We got a deal?

The scanner/printer combo allows you to scan and print (ie copy). The manufacturer should have a FAQ site to answer questions with a little more detail.

printer - you can print documents, things from microsoft word, things from the internet, etc.
scanner - you can transfer a picture of an object onto your computer. this would be like if you have a homework assignment, you can scan the page and email it to your friend.
copier - this just makes quick copies (identical reproductions) of things. you can scan something onto your computer and print it off of your computer to make a copy that way, but it takes longer. having a separate function specifically for copying makes this process quicker and easier because you don't have to use the computer as a medium for making copies. you just load it onto the printer and print it out. otherwise you would have to scan it, go onto the computer and tell the computer to print it out, then the computer tells the printer to print it out.

One part prints out what you want off the computer, another is for making copies of papers that are already printed and the scanner would be used for copies also but good for copying pictures.
