I read this question to my wife.......

SHE STARTED LAUGHING HYSTERICALLY

In my home, if there's a drawer, box, or container of any kind in the room - there's a tool in it.

I do a lot of wood, metal, and leatherworking, along with various arts and crafts - I have tools EVERYwhere in my house.

And I figure it this way - if someone ever tried to break into my house, most people wouldn't think of it this way - almost any tool can be used as a weapon in the hands of someone who knows how........

I am a little bit of an extreme case. I have a tool box in my garage and my car, plus a few tools in my kitchen pantry. I also have a workshop in my back yard where I build custom furniture. I am just a hobbyist but I have over $30,00.00 in assorted hand and power tools. My best table saw cost $2,800.00 ( I have 3) I like to buy the latest technology in woodworking tools (including a wood lathe I have never used) so I spend way too much. According to my estimates I will start to make a profit by 2075 if I don't buy any more tools. I built all the doors, windows, cabinets and furniture in my new home and rental properties, and in my mom's and sisters house, so I guess it was worth the expense. The funny thing is, if I need a repair on any of my houses, I call a repairman. I enjoy building the new stuff but hate doing repairs.

Everywhere except in the tool box. Serious. I have pliers and hammers and stuff all over, because I am a putterer. I need immediate access to my tools.

They are all over my house. I know there are some in the hall closest. I saw my cousin bring some from under his bed a few nights ago. There is no telling in this house.

Several places. I keep certain tools close to certain things that might require them. My garage is 'tool central.'
