The social debate about abortion is not about the preciousness of life. Fifty percent of all pregnancies end in abortion, spontaneous abortion, commonly called "miscarriage". Half of all those babies can be saved through proper prenatal care. If those opposed to abortion were truly concerned about the preciousness of life, why did they fight so hard to reduce all of the federal funding for free prenatal care to America's poor women? The very same groups that advocate against a women's right of choice in abortion are the very same groups that oppose free prenatal care. Spontaneous abortion is a woman's body saying that conditions are not right for a fetus to survive. There seems to be no outrage about that. But, if a woman uses her MIND to determine that conditions are not right for a fetus to survive, there is outrage. The abortion debate is not about the preciousness of life. It is about who has the right to decide when a life should end. Traditionally, only men have had that right ( war, capital punishment). The abortion debate is about keeping women in their place. That being said, women have only recently, after thousands of years of oppression, had the right to vote and determine the course of their own lives. How unfortunate that abortion has become their rallying cry because abortion is to good health practice, as bankruptcy is to business. Abortion is a dangerous, graceless, ugly procedure. Women are capable of more responsible reproductive health practices. RN

Thesis For Abortion

Because abortion involves the decision to terminate life, which is a religious or spiritual matter, any law made either to limit or to protect the choice of abortion is unconstitutional by religious freedom. Only if laws reflect the consent of the individuals affected are these binding contracts. Otherwise, if state authority is abused to endorse one position over another, such imposition clearly violates the equal religious freedom of the opposing side.

That is a combination of the thesis and conclusion I would write. For the supporting arguments, you can quote any opinion for or against the choice of abortion, and show how supporting this would infringe on the equal and opposite viewpoint. Questions such as whether the fetus is a human being with rights, or such rights are not invoked until the baby is born; whether woman should have this choice without criminalization or other regulation by the government; whether taxpayers or citizens should be made to support health care that includes abortion or bans it, etc.

Then state how making a law one way or the other violates the equal rights and freedoms of opponents who believe otherwise.

For abortion: A woman has the right to do as she will with her body and whatever may be inside. Abortion helps decrease the world population. If you don't have the right to abortion what makes you so sure you want a child? You could be a bad parent and leave your child in a alley or a trashcan. Abortion helps take care of a child in a legal manner.

Against abortion: You are killing a person not yet born. They consist of a sole and body parts. You would be killing a citizen. If you have your child you can send it to be adopted. Why must you murder?

depends whether you are pro or con abortion. if pro try something about the percentage of girls who get pregnant before marriage, and how this might affect thier lives in a bad way. If con maybe something describing how killing a baby's life is as bad as ancient barbarians sacrificing people. it amounts to the same thing, killing a human being. I dont know really though.
