There is a great difference; a thought is just an image of something an idea of how something is or could be, it can become a belief in that case it is what the image demands for completion. How we think we experience our emotions, which can be pleasant or painful it is the same effort, is hoe we interpret events in thought, which is in abstraction.
Thought describes judge’s measures but never is, always abstract, and can easily think about itself and think about thinking. Feeling is not an emotion. An emotion is a physical response to our thinking. Emotions are fast and can act out of our awareness of what we may be thinking, or the images we may have. We think therefore have made images about everything.
Feeling is direct not mediated by thought, and as Prof. Dr Candice Bargemen renowned scientist on molecular biology, she comments, that it can be said that feeling is the language of the soul.
Feelings are reasonable, yet not logic, we just sense in our hearts what is right or wrong. No explanations are needed. The more this function evolves we know the way. Intuition is even subtler, needing tuning to ultra low frequencies, of knowledge

Feelings arise from thoughts that you have and although most feelings arise from thoughts, they are not the same. There is physical feeling and there is emotional feeling. The emotional feelings you get all arise from thoughts.
The idea of feelings coming from your heart is a bunch of hooey. I didn't know the heart can feel, or think for that matter. When you think about it, the feelings associated with emotions come from one organ...the brain.

Thoughts are things that run through your head. For example, "I have to pick up the mail today". Feelings are things that cause you to have emotions of any kind. Things that make your stomach turn, feel elated, bring out your rage, etc.

Thoughts are usually things that have some basis in provable facts, while feelings are things you just know, whether you can prove it or not. You think with your head, and feel with your heart.

Not much. Feelings are more emotionally based and thoughts are more cognitively based. That's not say that they don't overlap at times.
