A friend was using my computer and created a website address on my address bar. This website is not suitable for my children and I would like all records of it removed. I have tried highlighting it and pressing backspace or delete, but neither work. What can I do? Thanks

To delete the web addresses on the address bar, open up an Internet Explorer page in that click Tools->Internet
Options->content->Auto complete->clear forms->ok.
Then in future if u feel that this should not continue means Uncheck the options(Web address, Forms,Username & Passwords)-> ok in the same page. This will not allow u to remain the address in ur address bar.

Do a thorough clean up of your system by following the instructions below!

THOROUGH CLEANUP (Windows XP)
While you are on your PC connect to the Internet and do the following:
1. Click on tools ... Internet options. There you will see three buttons next to each other... "Delete Cookies" ... "Delete Files" and "Settings." Also, below the settings button you will see another one "Clear history."

2. Click on "settings" - go to "Edit" - Click on "select all" - Go to files and click delete and wait till all garbage is gone.

3. Go back and click on "delete cookies" and wait till gone

4. Go back and click on "Delete files" put a check mark on the little square shown on the small window that will open and click OK and wait for a little.

5. Go back and click on "Clear history", click “yes” and you are done.

6. Now do a check disk and a defrag, then restart your computer and see if the address is gone.

7. If the address is still there, get on the Internet and look in the Yahoo search for Tune-Up Utilities 2006 site, go to that site and download their free trial program, familiarize your self with it and use it to clean up your registry automatically. It is an excellent little program and does wonders with PC maintenance tasks.

Good luck
