Right on Keneda! She said it. Clothes do not make the (wo)man, the truths found inside the skin, beneath the clothes make the (wo)man.
a passage for you, from _The Prophet_
And the weaver said, "Speak to us of Clothes."
And he answered:
Your clothes conceal much of your beauty, yet they hide not the unbeautiful.
And though you seek in garments the freedom of privacy you may find in them a harness and a chain.
Would that you could meet the sun and the wind with more of your skin and less of your raiment,
For the breath of life is in the sunlight and the hand of life is in the wind....
......Forget not that modesty is for a shield against the eye of the unclean. <---thats good stuff right there
And when the unclean shall be no more, what were modesty but a fetter and a fouling of the mind?
And forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair.

If you feel like you're an outsider, you probably are. Try joining clubs or hobby groups, something like that. Besides, everyone feels like an outsider sometimes. It depends on what you decide to do about it.

You aren't punk rock, unless I'm mistaken and the year is actually 1977?

It all depends on who you consider to be "inside," and whether or not they consider you to be one of them or not.
Generally, if you have a few close friends and very few 'casual aquaintances' (ie people you'd hang out with and party with but wouldn't go out of your way for,) you're likely an outsider. OTOH, if you have many casual aquaintances but would have trouble figuring out who your "true" friends are, you're probably not an outsider.

being different doesnt mean being an outsider...
outsiders are the ones that want to fit in...
do you want to fit in? or do you want to remain an individual?.. remember that one quote?
"those who are different change the world, and those who are the same, keep it that way"..
so... are you an outsider.. ((who wants to fit in))?
or.. are you an individual.. ((who sets theit own path))?

We are all outsiders, but relate to those who let us into their personality as much as we let them into ours.

You're not a non-conformist if you have to ask others if you're a non-conformist.
