I'm not sure what you mean by "competitive". In both the Senate and Governor's races, the Democratic candidates (Bob Casey Jr. and Ed Rendell, respectively) have been leading their opponents by large margins in practically every poll. In those cases, the big names have been going places where the races are closer.

There are several Congressional races that are close, notable the 4th, 6th, and 8th districts. I'm not sure why we haven't seen many of the big names stumping for these candidates. Possibly Congressional candidates are expected to rely more on local resources.

They could help in some local races though.

It's hard to be everywhere for democrats or republicans. But things are still looking up for democrats.

Good Question, maybe they think it is in the bag. But, Santorum has a history of squeezing out victories. I wouldn't be surprised if he pull this one out.

PA is conservative. The DNC is wise to stay away from PA.
