Do you live in an area where there is a lot of building going on now? If not, you might have to relocate to another town. When you apply for the job, look confident but not too proud. Speak up and look at the interviewer in the eye. Ask him if there is an area of expertise that they especially need someone, and try to do extra training in that area. Don't get discouraged. Keep your confidence up so you will be more appealing.
